Yep, it is a boat kit after all.

Wait, is that a boat forming in the garage?  With some much needed help from my dad, stitched the bottom panels together to make a tightly formed bow.  So exciting to see the shape of the boat start to form.

Keel Straightening.  Finally found that if I cut most the way through the pine strip on the bottom in order to kick it off a few degrees to straighten it out to align it with the keelson.  Wedged in a thin strip in the bottom, and added braces inside the keel side panels to support the new shape.  Now the keelson fits the keel at both ends of the keelson.

Sanding the cap sealing off the back portion of the keel forever.  The keel is then placed in the cradle frame for assembling the hull.

The keel is getting closer.  Fiberglass one side, wait many hours for it to cure, glass the other side, wait, 1 more coat, etc…  Looks pretty sweet all glassed up.  Notice the vacuum attachment on sander when leveling the lead.  Still needs a few more coats.
